4 out of 5 stars

Kyra Winthrop has been in a diving accident and as a result,  has lost a lot of her memory. Her husband Wyatt has brought her back to the little Pacific Northwest island that he grew up on. It is a small little island where everyone seems to know everyone and there really isn’t a whole lot on it. It doesn’t seem to have good cell service or internet service. (That made my Spidey senses on alert.) Kyra doesn’t remember a lot of her relationship with Wyatt. There are pictures from their wedding and she does remember being with him on different spots of the island but her memories seem to keep turning back to his friend Aiden. Why does she feel they had a relationship? Was she having an affair? And why does she keep seeing another person in her memories from the diving trip, who seemed to be gasping for air? Is Wyatt telling her everything?  Kyra starts to see a therapist on her own. She also starts going to places around the island without Wyatt. Maybe that’s what she needs to remember and not his hovering care over her.

This is a good one, folks. You are reading it and saying something is not right here but is it what you think? Maybe I figured out a little but not the complete package. This is also one of those very fast reads. The chapters are short and they keep the storyline going at a great pace. There is a little bit of ambiguity with the ending but I think that’s really okay. Perfect for these rainy, cold nights we have been having. You won’t go wrong with this one.

I received a copy of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
