By Kathy Griffin
5 out of 5 stars
I think there are probably two categories when it comes to Kathy Griffin; you either love her or hate her. Some people can’t take her caustic wit but I crack up every time I see her act. This book had me laughing quite a bit. Let her tell you how she feels about Demi “Debbie” Lovato or Ashton Kutcher. She doesn’t mince words. Let her tell you about Joan Rivers and you will laugh and be touched all in the same story. (Who knew she was so close to “Chuck” and Camella.) Let her tell you about Harry Styles and “Candle” Jenner with a little help from Tom Hanks. I also love that she is a fan girl just like us. She especially geeks out over fellow comedians. Love that!
I do have to say that my very favorite thing about Kathy is her love for her mother Maggie. (And who of us doesn’t love Maggie?) I love that she is happy when others love her mother just as much. If you haven’t read Official Book Club Selection, her last book, you really should. It is truly a beautiful love story for her parents.
In these strange times of discord in this country, it was nice to sit and just laugh. Very enjoyable read.
