Wow. I could not put this one down!

Jacqueline “Jacks” Morales is not prepared when police officers come to her door telling her that her husband James has been killed in a car accident in Maui. Wait. Maui? He was supposed to be in Kansas on business. But there’s more. He was not alone. He was with a younger woman named Dylan. That’s enough to throw you over the edge. But then, Nick comes to her door. Nick was Dylan’s fiancee and he wants answers. He wants Jacks to come with him to Maui and retrace the couples step for closure. Jacks ends up going, much to the concern of her sister Beth. (Because who wouldn’t just go to Maui with a complete stranger!) As they get closer, we get closer to the truth.

Okay. I did not see the twist coming! I was reading it and out loud saying “No way!” You got me, Lisa and Liz. I loved how everything from past to present worked so perfectly to get us to the ultimate ending. I loved how we were able to see Dylan’s frame of mind and why she did what she did.  I loved the progression of Jacks’ character from someone who seemed to almost wallow into someone who had some fight in her. Bravo on this venture into mystery thriller. I can’t wait for more.
